HWG Sababa is a global cybersecurity solutions and services provider headquartered in Italy. The company not only develops and delivers customized advanced solutions but also serves as a security solutions integrator for B2B clients.
HWG Sababa has been in the market since 2008, starting with SOC services development in Italy and gradually expanding its product portfolio and geographic reach.
In 2022, HWG Sababa established a strong presence in Central Asia, with a representative office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The local team implements cybersecurity projects, taking into account the local threat landscape, regulatory compliance, and available technologies in the market. To maintain stable operation of HWG Sababa SaaS services, as well as to store and process the data they generate, a reliable IT infrastructure is required.

Why HWG Sababa chose Servercore
Before entering the Central Asia market, HWG Sababa’s core services were hosted with a foreign provider. However, local legislation in the Republic of Uzbekistan mandates that businesses store data within the country’s borders, particularly when handling personal information.
As a local IT infrastructure provider in Uzbekistan, HWG Sababa opted for Servercore.
Key factors included:
flexibility of Servercore’s IT infrastructure,
compliance with Uzbekistan’s legislation on secure storage and processing of customer data,
convenient resource management through a unified control panel and ability to pay as you go,
elimination of VM maintenance burden,
adequate resource power to ensure smooth operation of managed protection SaaS services.
«When we entered the Uzbekistan market, finding suitable IT infrastructure providers was challenging. Most service providers couldn’t offer an end-to-end solution. We’d have had to independently lease racks, procure equipment, and maintain its resilience. Discovering Servercore’s flexible solutions and the ability to pay only for consumed resources, we quickly decided to collaborate».
HWG Sababa needed to migrate its IT infrastructure from a foreign cloud platform to a provider with a presence in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Ensuring compliance with local data storage and processing regulations was crucial.
As Uzbekistan is a relatively new market for HWG Sababa, the company conducts extensive product testing. For this purpose, a flexible infrastructure, which allows rapid resource deployment and (in case of unsuccessful experiments) efficient resource utilization, is essential. Such business tasks require cloud products with a wide selection of custom configurations.
When partnering with a provider, the ability to manage cloud computing rental costs is crucial for HWG Sababa. The company exclusively considered a pay-as-you-go model, where charges are incurred only for actual resource usage in the cloud.
As HWG Sababa’s local office in Uzbekistan is gradually expanding its business in the new market, the company yet lacks the capacity to maintain a large team of system administrators and DevOps engineers. Hence, finding a provider willing to take responsibility for ensuring uninterrupted operation of the IT infrastructure in the data center was essential.

Results and future plans
HWG Sababa successfully migrated their projects to the Servercore cloud platform within a week. Custom servers were provided in just a few days, with the remaining time spent on transferring services from the vendor solution to the Servercore cloud.
Positive outcomes from this collaboration, as stated by Mikhail Steblin (CTO HWG Sababa in Central Asia), were achieved due to the high expertise of Servercore employees who assisted 24/7 in resolving both technical and organizational queries.
HWG Sababa currently has several SaaS services deployed on Servercore, including a pilot version of a platform for training company employees in cybersecurity principles. Additionally, two firewalls are hosted in the cloud to protect against DDoS attacks and Postfix vulnerabilities.
Looking ahead, the company plans to scale its business in Central Asia and establish a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a managed protection service based on a unified industrial EDR solution in Uzbekistan. These projects will require dedicated resources to handle a substantial amount of personal data. Given the sensitivity of this information, a meticulous approach to its storage and processing is essential.
Although HWG Sababa is mainly using Servercore virtual servers, they plan to start using the provider’s other products: Managed Kubernetes and Managed GitLab. Over time, the company also envisions leveraging DBaaS and VMware-based cloud solutions to address their specific needs.
