Client profile

Global Solutions is an IT company offering software development and implementation services across all complexity levels for government bodies, businesses, and individuals.

The company has been operating in the Uzbekistan market since 2011. Global Solutions’ portfolio features over 50 large-scale projects across various sectors, including app development for Paynet company, Uzbekistan Airways, and the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan. Since 2020, Global Solutions has focused on advancing its own software development. The company obtained a payment institution license and started actively developing its business payment service called Global Pay Gate.

At the moment, the company not only develops software but also offers online payment connection service through Uzcard, HUMO, Mastercard, and Visa to its clients and partners.

Global Solutions’ IT infrastructure features a complex hybrid architecture: some solutions are hosted on-premise, while others are cloud-based. Why Global Solutions chose Servercore

In 2021, Uzbekistan adopted a personal data law obliging businesses to store data on servers physically located within the Republic. Consequently, Global Solutions had to choose a local cloud provider for several projects, including the FinTech app Global Pay Gate.

Searching for a technology partner, the company prioritized criteria such as a user-friendly control panel, availability of Managed Kubernetes and backups. Moreover, Global Solutions wanted to outsource tasks related to setting up and maintaining smooth IT infrastructure operation to a contractor. High server uptime and cost-effective pricing were crucial factors for the IT company in selecting a cloud provider.

Servercore successfully met Global Solutions’ requirements due to its service features and cloud products.

Reasons for сhoosing Servercore:

«Due to the changes in the personal data storage law, we urgently had to find a local provider for our projects in Uzbekistan. It was challenging. Previously, we had worked with a foreign provider whose tools were well-suited to our needs. Few local companies could match this functionality. However, Servercore managed to meet our technological requirements».

Client's main objectives

Global Solutions’ business involves storing personal data. So it needs localization of its IT infrastructure in Uzbekistan. Moreover, it was essential that the servers offer high availability of at least 99.98%. The company also required that the data center had a PCI DSS certification to ensure secure storage of bank card data for FinTech projects.
Global Solutions had to find a local partner with control panel functionality closely matching the one of their previous foreign provider. Moreover, it was crucial for the new provider to offer Managed Kubernetes, backup services, and other products.
As Global Solutions prioritized development of its own software products for clients, it was necessary to set DevOps engineers free from the routine tasks of organizing the smooth infrastructure operation. To achieve this, the company decided to fully delegate those tasks to a cloud provider.
For Global Solutions, an important criterion in selecting a provider was cost-effective pricing. The company required the contractor to have a transparent billing system with payments only for used resources: pay-as-you-go without additional charges for external Internet channel speed.

Results and future plans

Global Solutions successfully migrated from a foreign cloud provider to Servercore servers in Uzbekistan within 1.5 months without significant downtime. On leased solutions, the IT company develops its own software for clients, deploys both its own and partner applications, and runs test instances.

The migration halved the working hours that DevOps engineers spent on configuring and maintaining smooth IT infrastructure operation. Currently, Global Solutions’ IT specialists can mostly focus on product development. As a result, the company’s entire Delivery process was optimized. Global Solutions can deliver the final product to customers three times faster.

Global Solutions currently hosts cloud servers with over 30 virtual cores at Servercore. The company actively uses Managed Kubernetes to maintain service availability and stability, paired with Container Registry that stores container images. Global Solutions also employs DBaaS, file storage, load balancers, and backups for enhanced data protection.

Global Solutions is planning to expand its business: it will require substantial server capacity for upcoming projects. The company is ready to choose Servercore as its technology partner for its future endeavors.
